Meet Our Physicians
Beaumont Medical Clinic provides a cooperative and efficient environment for doctors, patients, and staff to deliver modern day medicine with compassion and integrity.
Dr. Sandra Black completed medical school at the University of Calgary followed by a family medicine residency at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton. She has been with Beaumont Medical Clinic for over 20 years and enjoys the full spectrum of family practice. She is married with 3 adult children and 2 beloved fur babies. She has a passion for travel and adventure and enjoys numerous outdoor activities as well as painting and music.
– Special Interests: Endometrial biopsies, IUD insertions, cortisone injections

Dr. Anna Detorakis, originally from New Brunswick, completed medical school in Dalhousie University and completed residency at University of Alberta. She has 2 children and a fur baby and enjoys anything involving the outdoors and travelling off the beaten path.
– Special Interests: Geriatrics, Palliative Care, Woman’s Health

Dr. Lana Myroniuk completed medical school at the University of Calgary and her residency training at UBC in Vancouver. When she’s not working, Dr. Myroniuk loves to swim, read, garden and spend lots of time outdoors with her husband and her 2 children.
– Special Interests: Women’s and children’s health, IUD / Nexplanon insertions, endometrial and skin biopsies and hormone replacement therapy.

Dr Tessa Penrod received her medical degree from the University of Alberta and completed her family medicine residency at the Moncton site through Dalhousie University. She practiced in New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba state before returning to Alberta in 2011 when she joined Beaumont Medical Clinic. She is married with three children, and enjoys reading, gardening, swimming, and hiking.
– Special Interests: Prenatal care including deliveries, women’s health, and pediatrics.

Dr. Stacey Roberts was born and raised in Edmonton. She graduated from the University of Alberta Family Medicine Program and shortly thereafter, began working at Beaumont Medical. She has been with the clinic for over 20 years now and thinks of it as an extension of her family.
– Special Interests: Acupuncture.
Joined Beaumont Medical: 1998
Dr. Sails grew up in southern Alberta and came to the Edmonton area for medical school. She interned at Grey Nuns Hospital and worked in various offices in Edmonton and Leduc before joining Dr. Stewart’s practice 25 years ago. She has practiced 3 days a week since having her four children. She enjoys swimming, reading and travelling.

Dr. Rebecca Saunders received her medical degree from the University of Alberta and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Calgary. She practiced in Alberta, BC and WA state before returning to Alberta in 2009 when she joined Beaumont Medical Clinic. She is married with 2 sons, and enjoys a variety of outdoor sports throughout our 4 seasons.
– Special Interests: Women’s health, pediatrics, preventative medicine, mental health and medical botox.

Dr. Shewchuk attended the University of Alberta for medicine and completed her family residency in rural Noval Scotia through Dalhousie University. She worked as a locum physician in multiple communities across Alberta. Dr. Shewchuk and her husband have happily called the Beaumont area home for 5 years.
– Special Interests: Women’s health, IUD / Nexplanon insertions, endometrial and skin biopsies, medical botox
